From Sunday 28th of May, Eurostar will be running new trains on its London to Brussels line. The new e320 train is already in use on its Paris line since 2015.
Incentive Travel portal reports that the arrival of the 17 new e320 trains on the Brussels service represents part of a £1 billion programme of investment in Eurostar’s fleet, stations and service.
The new trains boast 20 per cent more capacity than the original Eurostar trains while other improvements include better design, stylish interiors as well as wifi connectivity and 300 hours of onboard entertainment that can be streamed to customers’ personal devices.
In addition, the renovation of the Eurostar terminal in Brussels Midi has created an expanded departure area and a more efficient check-in space which will be further enhanced by the introduction of facial recognition e-passport gate technology for the peak summer holiday period, reports Incentive Travel.
A new direct service from London to Amsterdam is also expected to launch in the coming months. To read more about Eurostar’s new plans, check the article on Incentive Travel website.
