Autumn has now fully settled in, and with it Brussels’ cultural scene is coming alive. Concert venues across the city are filling up once again, welcoming an exciting mix of national and international artists ready to brighten our increasingly darker evenings and weekends. From intimate performances to large-scale shows, the season promises a rich variety of sounds and experiences for every music lover.
Exciting concerts this month
US pop megastar Katy Perry brings her Lifetimes Tour to Afas Dome (previously Sportpaleis) on 16 of October, filled with smash hits like ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’ or ‘I Kissed A Girl’. Another pop hitmaker, Ryan Tedder’s band OneRepublic will play Antwerp’s Lotto Arena on 8 October and probably the most famous Italian male singer internationally, Damiano David is taking over Forest National on the 2nd.
Rising alternative British pop singer Chloe Qisha plays Botanique on 12 october and legendary singer Suzanne Vega will performs hits like ‘Tom’s Dinner’ in BOZAR on 10 October.
Nostalgics of the 2000s will welcome American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz´s Still Yours Anniversary Tour, in Antwerp’s De Roma on 2 October, Swedish singer Eagle-Eye Cherry performing in Ittre’s ZikZak on the 23, and Fun Lovin’ Criminals in La Madeleine on 2 October.
One of the most acclaimed Belgian singer-songwriters Tamino plays Forest National on 10 October and pop Belgian singer Emma Bale will present her new album in De Roma on 4 October.
For fans of French pop, ZAZ will tour in our country with shows in Cirque Royal on 14 October, Le Forum in Liège on the 7 and Antwerp’s Stadsschouwburg on the 13. Another French artist turned into global superstar, Yseult, will perfom in Ancienne Belgique on 7 October after the success of her collaboration ‘Alibi’ that counts with more than 236 million YouTube views.
Two other French pop artists are coming to Belgium October to present their hits, Natasha St-Pier on 10 October and Jenifer on the 17 both in Mons.
Brussels Museum Night Fever will bring again concerts to some of the city’s most popular venues on 18 October. The programme is still TBC but Botanique already unveiled their afterparty.

Festivals
October in Belgium strikes a vibrant chord with a rich variety of music festivals that span genres, venues, and atmospheres. From the intimate showcases of FrancoFaune from 1-10 October and the Musique Femmes Festival, to the solidarity-driven Benefit Concert Love Cath’s against cancer, the month brings both discovery and purpose to the stage.
Electronic beats take flight with Felix Da Housecat at Liège’s Airport on 11 October, while Valencian cultural heritage shines through Festival Estellés on 18 October in Brussel’s VK. For those seeking urban grooves, Urban32 sets the tone at Botanique, and the month closes with the eclectic Les Nuits Weekender also in Botanique, extending the celebration into November.
Musicals
Brussels Music Agenda expands its horizons with the announcement of tick tick…Boom! the Belgian premiere of a musical by The Bridge Theatre, a raw, urgent, and deeply human story by Jonathan Larson, the visionary creator of RENT.
Set in New York in the 1990s, the show tells the story of Jon, a composer on the verge of turning 30, torn between his job as a waiter, writing a musical he hopes will change everything, and the pressures of love, ambition, and life choices. As the clock ticks, Jon must decide: risk it all for his dream or throw in the towel. From 14 October to 2 November in Stassart House, Brussels. Get your tickets here.

Fancy a getaway out of Belgium? Police’s frontman Sting is playing Paris’ Accor Arena on 9 October and Neo-soul queen Erykah Badu plays at Zénith de La Villete on 29 October.
