Jessie J, Rosalia, Alex Warren, Franz Ferdinand or Eric Clapton are some of the artists visiting us this month, a clear sign that Belgium is booming with all kinds of music and languages! We bring you the full music agenda with best concerts, festivals and other music events in Brussels and beyond this April.
Exciting concerts
April in Belgium feels like one of those rare moments when very different musical worlds pass through the same place at the same time. On one night, you might find yourself in front of British popstar Jessie J, whose voice fills the room with the kind of power that first made her famous back in the early 2010s. She doesn’t just sing her hits like ‘Price Tag’ or ‘Domino’—she turns them into shared moments, joking with the crowd, stretching notes effortlessly, reminding everyone why she built her career on pure vocal strength as much as pop appeal.
A few days later, the atmosphere shifts completely when Spanish sensation Rosalía arrives. Where Jessie J is raw voice and charisma, Rosalía is precision and vision. Her shows feel almost cinematic, blending flamenco roots with modern beats, choreography, and striking visuals. Songs like ‘Malamente’ or ‘Despechá’ become part of something bigger than a concert—more like stepping into her artistic universe, where tradition and experimentation coexist.

Then comes US singer Alex Warren, representing a newer generation of artists. His path to the stage is different—shaped by the internet, social media, and a close connection with his audience. When he performs songs like the smash worldwide hit ‘Ordinary’, the scale may be smaller, but the emotional intensity is immediate. It feels personal, almost like he’s telling his own story in real time, and the crowd—often younger—sings along as if those stories were theirs too.
Not long after, British alternative rock band Franz Ferdinand bring a completely different kind of energy. The guitars kick in, the rhythm locks tight, and suddenly the venue feels like a dancefloor. Their music, especially ‘Take Me Out’, carries that unmistakable early-2000s indie spirit—sharp, stylish, and impossible to stand still to. There’s a sense of nostalgia, but also of timelessness, as if their songs were built to keep moving crowds forever.
And then, standing slightly apart from all of this, there’s the maestro Eric Clapton. When he takes the stage, everything slows down. There’s no need for spectacle—just a guitar, decades of experience, and songs that have lived many lives already. Timeless hits like ‘Layla’ or ‘Tears in Heaven’ don’t need reinvention; they carry their weight quietly, delivered with the calm authority of someone who helped shape modern rock and blues.
