Favourite spots: The Dominican summer terrace

  • Editorial Team
  • July 5, 2023
  • 2 minute read

Our team is always on the hunt for unique spots where summer in the city simply feels special. The Dominican hotel’s summer terrace is a great new addition – the perfect place to celebrate summer in the capital until the end of September.

This authentic Brussels hotel is already known for its beautiful interior garden but the terrace in front of the hotel creates a new destination for the warmer months. “It will be an ode to summer and to life”, says general manager Bert Vandewaetere. “The people of Brussels deserve such a place. It’s a shame we haven’t done this before”, he added.

The emphasis is on quality dishes as well as many refreshing drinks. The terrace offers a tranquil place in the heart of the city, right behind the Opera La Monnaie. It is a spot to celebrate summer and watch Brussels come to life.

“We want to become that special place where the inhabitants of Brussels come to celebrate the summer”, explains Mr. Vandewaetere. “You can go there from Monday to Saturday for a drink, but also for lunch and dinner. The emphasis is on seafood and caviar, but we also offer other tasty dishes to accompany your glass of champagne”. The partners in this project are Remy-Cointreau, Champagne Palmer and Royal Belgian Caviar House.

“We want to become that special place where the inhabitants of Brussels come to celebrate the summer”

“Anyone who has ever come to The Dominican Hotel for a cocktail, afterwork, lunch or dinner knows that it is a chic and elegant resting place nestled in the heart of the city. The terrace is in line with this, but we really wanted to channel the summer enthusiasm”, adds Mr. Vandewaetere. “We have chosen to opt for white parasols, 3 by 15 meters, lined with plants and all accompanied by sumptuous summer furniture.’’

Our team can only confirm: If you are looking for a special summer spot, try the terrace of the Dominical hotel!
