Today is World Mental Health Day 2022. As each year, our Brussels / Belgium / EU-Brussels community of entrepreneurs, organisations, change-makers and individuals endorse and come together for this visual awareness campaign on this day.
There is a need for more mental health awareness and action across our society, for young, old and those that are vulnerable – leaving no one behind.
Mental Health Europe states: “Mental Health, unfortunately, does not receive the political priority nor the funding it deserves. An integrated approach, focusing on prevention and early intervention, would have most impact.”
Other recommendations suggest to place mental health on the same level as physical health; prioritize mental health of the next generation; implement actions to deal with the traumas of those affected by traumas related to migrations and displacement; put in place proactive mental health approach.
Let’s take a moment today and everyday for some self-care, be more kind and have more empathy, for each other, our neighbours and communities. We need to truly prioritize our and others mental health more than ever!
Thanks for reading and supporting, even if your logo isn’t here, I know many of you support this.
