The “Summer of Tour & Taxis” is again making great waves this year in Brussels! Plenty of fun activities all around amazing Tour & Taxis neighbourhood. The summer programme started in June and will last until September, offering a unique mix of activities such as beach bar, exhibitions, restaurants and lots of music to keep everyone entertained.

Below you can find some of our favourite events and programmes (we will update this page regularly when more events are announced) and in the meantime be sure to check Summer of Tour & Taxis website with detailed agenda for the entire summer!

Casa Corona (Visoliekaai)
This is a new addition to the neighbourhood – Casa Corona summer bar brings great positive vibes during warm days. Visitors can put their feet in the sand while enjoying the Mexican beers and the beach atmosphere. And don’t worry about the occasional rain – the bar is located at the Quai aux Poissons and has a large covered area. Open from 12/06 to 02/10. Pay attention to the opening hours: Thursday-Friday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Dandoy Riviera
Maison Dandoy pop up bar brings the vibes of Côte d’Azur to Tour & Taxis! The famous Brussels biscuit factory has transformed the Atelier des Tracteurs (between the Gare Maritime and the Visoliekaai and near the new sandy playground) into a charming land of leisure. Visitors can lounge and feast on Dadnoy specialties: ice cream, waffles or other delicacies prepared according to centuries-old family recipes. More info here.

Summer guided tours of Tour & Taxis
Every Sunday afternoon, the guides of Korei take the visitors to discover Tour & Taxis district. You will learn all about the redevelopment of the area and the impressive renovation projects of the site’s emblematic buildings. From the Royal Depot to the Gare Maritime, passing by the Maison de la Poste. The Hôtel des Douanes, whose renovation is scheduled soon, is also part of the visit. Great opportunity to discover this amazing complex! More info.

Gare Maritime Food Market
This spot has already become a favourite for many Brusseleirs but during the summer it provides a perfect gastronomic destination. It is a place where innovative top chefs treat you to creative, sustainable dishes. Feeërieën, Boterhammen in de Stad & more at Gare Maritime
This is a great way to spend the evening at the Gare Maritime from August 22 to 26 and to enjoy a truly cosmopolitan musical ambiance. Don’t miss Feeërieën – this is where electronica and classic will meet and where you can discover the originality of the African music scene, especially with Afro-house and Ethio-jazz. Free concerts by Naima Joris, Abel Ghekiere and living legend Eddie Chacon, among others. But that’s not all! Ancienne Belgique has free summer festivals Boterhammen in de Stad, Feeërieën, and the AB Summer Terrace that all take place at Gare Maritime from 22-26 August. Also, between 2 and 7 pm there is plenty to do on the AB Summer Terrace. More info here.

Expo Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures
The compelling exhibition Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures breathes new life into the enigmatic legends of ancient Egypt. The pharaoh’s tomb comes to Brussels, with hundreds of gorgeous replica artefacts and breath-taking chamber reconstructions. On display from 20 July. More details here.

Lunch on the terrace at La Fabbrica (Royal Depot)
Located between the Royal Warehouse (Entrepôt Royal) and the Sheds, the spacious terrace of La Fabricca is a perfect spot for the relaxing lunch. This summer the public will be able to taste the authentic Italian specialties and discover a new menu every week made up exclusively of seasonal products. For more info on different food venues & events, check the Summer of Tour & Taxis website.

Sports & Family entertainment Tour & Taxis Park
Tour & Taxis Park offers is definitely one of the most special green areas in the city, offering spectacular views on Brussels skyline. We especially recommend the 850-metre Finnish running track which has wood chips to cushion the impact of your movements, protecting your body and joints. Apart from the running track and other sports facilities, the area is wonderful for picnicking and simply spending summer afternoons or evenings with friends & family. Additionally, visit the Parckfarm which aims to raise awareness of sustainable urban agriculture. The association offers a varied program of social and educational activities. This summer, visitors can take part in a herbalism workshop or go picking wild plants in the Tour & Taxis park.

Visit Pixel Museum
The Pixel museum is devoted to the history of video games! The museum has an impressive collection of games, consoles and arcade machines. If you like a hands-on experience then you will love this place – visitors can play around 50 games. Over the summer holidays, kids aged 10 and over can also sign up for workshops to learn how to make their own game.

Simply walk around this unique district & enjoy!
