Discover ‘Amazonie Immersive’ at Talk C.E.C in Brussels

  • Editorial Team

  • 3 minute read

The first European edition of the Amazonie Immersive concept will be held in Brussels at the Talk C.E.C space in Ixelles. Associations, cultural spaces and companies have come together to create this brand new cultural concept which focuses on the topics of art, tradition, flavours and sustainability. The event will be held in the newly established Talk C.E.C space in the former Demeuldre store between 1-3 April 2022.

The concept of these three days is the sensory and virtual gateway to a vast Amazon Immersive networking project. The network brings together different actors who deploy their energies to protect, enhance and highlight the rich Amazonian culture in all its aspects – ancestral knowledge, relationship with the world, handicraft, artistic and local productions and its role in protecting the planet. The main objective is to make the different communities of the Amazon, benefit from the fruits of their work, thus aiming to strengthen fair trade for the region and collaborate in the preservation of the environment in the forest’s natural reserves.

A series of immersive activities will allow the attendees to travel to the heart of the Amazon during a workshop, a tasting experience or an exchange. The programme will include multiple activities that will highlight the natural, cultural, artistic, economic and social aspects of the Brazilian Amazon, all in an exceptional exhibition space. It will also be possible to live a moment at the rhythm of the Amazon, with live exchanges and visibility of the different workshops to be done online. The guest of honour at the launch weekend will be the indigenous chief Nui Huni Kuin, who will offer a special encounter for visitors with his knowledge.
