In this edition of our Urban Snaps section, we focus on the buzzing Madou district. Quartier Madou is the area that gravitates around the Madou tower and the metro station that bears the same name. Photographer Luciano Zaami caught several interesting moments, depicting so-called lights of the big city scenes.

The district is located in the heart of the Brussels Region, including parts of two communes – the City of Brussels and Saint Josse Ten Noode. Broadly speaking, it is connecting areas of Place de la Liberté, Place Madou, Place Saint Josse and streets around Square Marie Louise & Ambiorix. The area is part of the EU district as it hosts the EU Commission’s Madou Tower and is located in the vicinity of all EU institutions. For instance, both Schuman square and Place du Luxembourg are only 15 minutes walk from Place Saint Josse.
