Have you seen the European Citizens yet? If you don’t know what we are talking about, read the story and head to Schuman Area in Brussels.
The 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome was a perfect occasion to bring some color to the EU quarter. European Citizens, a sculpture by German artist Susanne Boerner, stand now proudly in front of the European Commission. Thirteen figures are made of metal and clay. They are colorful and humorous; Boerner hoped that people would smile when they pass by. Indeed, that is the case.
