Avenue Tervueren – 120th anniversary

This Sunday, 14th May, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Avenue de Tervueren, you can go back in time and enjoy the numerous activities from Montgomery Square to Avenue Jules César.  Throughout many stands, you will be able to discover delicious and international products, games and animations, all presented with the touch of “belle époque”.

Stands will be split into different themed villages: street vendors, communal, associative and artistic village, sport and youth, and international village. You can expect so many happenings… music, arts, heritage, sustainable development village… We especially recommend:

– In the “house” of local heritage and Bibliotheca Wittockiana, you can learn thousand things about Woluwe and discover “symbolism”.
– Discover to the story of the avenue de Tervueren with the help of Cercle d’Histoire,
– Enjoy the market with village marketers and second-hand goods

Ce dimanche 14/05, pour le 120e anniversaire de l’avenue de Tervueren, du square Montgomery à l’avenue Jules César, nous vous invitons à remonter le temps. Au fil des échoppes, vous pourrez découvrir des produits délicieux et internationaux, des jeux et animations, le tout présenté avec une touche « belle époque ».
Voici quelques moments de rendez-vous incontournables préparés depuis des mois (quelle épopée ! ) :

– Sur la scène musicale, au rond-point Montgomery, Bal musette avec Sabrina Guislain et son accordéon (13h00), Bruxelles Aires Tango Orchestra avec une démonstration participative de tango et un concert-cabaret (14h30) et … Mister Cover pour clôturer la journée en beauté ! (17h00)

– La Société Musicale de la Police Fédérale et de nombreux spectacles de rue égayeront toute l’avenue au son des grosses caisses, trompettes, flutes, clarinettes, marionnettes…

– Le Village communal, artistique et associatif au square Léopold II

– Le W:Halll et la Comédie Volter vous accueillent pour une séance de photos d’époque. Remontez le temps et faites-vous tirer le portrait ! Rendez-vous spécialement à 15h00.

– Les Centres de quartier de Woluwe vous proposent grimage, jeux en bois rétro et ateliers pour petits et grands.

– Au Village du Développement Durable, vous trouverez tous les contacts, trucs et astuces pour un quotidien sanpétrusien à la fois pratique, convivial… et durable !

– Au stand de Wolu-Europe, vous recevrez un aperçu des merveilles de Malte qui assume actuellement la présidence de l’Union européenne. (Apéro à 14h00)

– Dans le village de la coopération au développement, mille découvertes vous attendent (Verre à 16h00)

– Dans la « maison » du patrimoine local et de la Bibliotheca Wittockiana, vous pourrez apprendre mille et une choses sur Woluwe et découvrir le « symbolisme ».

– Venez écouter l’histoire de l’avenue de Tervueren en parcourant cet artère à bord du char à bancs du Cercle d’Histoire, tiré par des chevaux de trait.

– Village des maraîchers et brocanteurs : Venez fouiller et dénicher des merveilles dans les échoppes des marchands ambulants et des brocanteurs.
