Photography expo: 1000streets Collective

If you are one of the street photography aficionados or you simply like photography, there is a new street photography exhibition in Brussels, organised by the 1000streets Collective at Octopus Heart Centre in Rue Haute 253.

The 1000streets Collective is a group of street photographers in Brussels sharing a common interest in street photography. They get together throughout the year doing photo walks, workshops, exhibitions and other events related to street photography. Most of their activities are based in Brussels but sometimes photo walks also take place in other cities around Belgium.

This time, 16 photographers are participating in the exhibition: Anne Pierson, Antoine Deckers, Aris Setya, Christine Baudelet, Didier Huynen, Florian Christl, Florian Copette, Hakim Bouzahouene, Holger Kunze, Jean-Pol Warkin, Michael Achard, Michael Tytgat, Philippe Meert, Salvatore La Monica, Stephan Bartholomeus, Yves Franquinet.

The public can also purchase some of the exhibited works and the organisers will donate 50% of the price to “Les Petits Riens” which is acting against poverty in our streets.

The opening ceremony was held on Friday 24 May, and it was a real success: a lot of visitors joined the exhibition for a drink, a friendly discussion and discovering the exhibited photos.

Exhibition dates: 24.05.24 – 16.06.24

 -Thursday & Friday: 17:00 – 20:00
 -Saturday: 12.00 – 19.00
 -Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00

Pro tip: If you want to join one of the photo walks in Brussels, the next edition will be organised on Sunday 2 June, in collaboration with SPF (Street Photography France) and BSPF (Brussels Street Photography Festival). The walk will begin from Rue de Ligne 8, 1000 Bruxelles, ending at the Octopus Heart Centre to visit the exhibition.

For more inspiration and details, check the 100streets Collective website.
