Brussels Music Agenda: Concerts, festivals and music events in June

  • Editorial Team

  • 3 minute read

Summer is approaching, the streets and parks are full of life and Brussels is blossoming with concerts and festivals. Music aficionados of all backgrounds will surely find something cool as we assembled a nice selection of interesting events happening this June in & around Belgian capital.

In June Brussels welcome international stars like Cat Power, with her haunting vocals and soulful indie rock singing Bob Dylan classics (Cirque Royal, 09 June); Gracie Abrams, the rising pop storyteller known for her introspective lyrics (Forest National, 23 June); Lola Young, bringing raw emotion and smoky pop-soul with hits like ‘Messy’ (Botanique, 04 June); and Rauw Alejandro, the Latin pop sensation mixing reggaeton with futuristic beats (Forest National, 27 June). Bands like Beach House will also enchant Brussels with their dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes (Ancienne Belgique, 01 June).

Duran Duran, Santana, John Fogerty, and Lionel Richie, four legendary acts, each with a distinct sound, are set to electrify Antwerp’s Sportpaleis with timeless hits. From Duran Duran’s new wave synth-pop (09 June), Santana’s Mexican soulful instrumental Latin rock (26 June), and Fogerty’s rootsy anthems as the voice of Creedence Clearwater Revival (25 June), to Lionel Richie’s smooth blend of soul and pop (18 June), these icons have shaped decades of music history. Also in Antwerp, but in its sister venue Lotto Arena, Morrissey, the iconic voice of The Smiths, brings his poetic melancholy and unmistakable presence to the stage on 16 June.

Younger generations will vibe with international superstars Dua Lipa and Pitbull, two global pop powerhouses, bringing infectious energy and chart-topping hits to every stage they step their feet on. From Dua’s sleek disco-pop plenty of future nostalgia (11 & 13 June) to Pitbull’s party-starting anthems (14 June), Antwerp’s Sportpaleis is in for a few nights of unstoppable rhythm and flair.

Antwerp’s De Roma will host an eclectic mix of musical talents all month long. En Vogue, the iconic R&B group celebrating 35 years of soulful harmonies, will kick off their European tour on 18 June. Belgian pop sensation Natalia brings her dynamic performance to the stage on 13 June. CocoRosie, known for their experimental blend of folk and electronic sounds, will perform on 11 June, followed by Ani DiFranco‘s poignant folk-rock melodies on 12 June and a four-nights residency by Belgian indie-rock band Arsenal from24 to 28 June.
