VUB campus welcomes potential students to info day

On Sunday 20 March, after two long years, Vrije Universiteit Brussel is finally opening its doors again to introduce future students to its beautiful campuses in Etterbeek and Jette. During this information day, visitors will learn about what they can study, with a focus on first-time students, working students and lateral entrants. Throughout the day there will be campus explorations, dorm visits and information about housing, study guidance and student finance.

Growing range of English-language programmes

With 100,000 students, Brussels is the largest student city in the country. VUB accounts for almost 20% of the capital’s student population, with 19,310, of whom 24% are international students. The university is therefore committed to offering a growing range of English-language programmes, which are also appreciated by Belgian students. VUB offers three English-language bachelors, 33 English-language masters and 13 English-language postgraduate courses. During the information day, sessions will be held on the following English-language programmes:

  • Bachelor in business economics
  • Bachelor in social sciences
  • Multilingual master of arts in linguistics and literary studies
  • and the new multilingual bachelor of arts in linguistics and literary studies

New programmes

VUB will also start two new programmes next academic year: the first bachelor of artificial intelligence in Belgium and the multilingual bachelor of linguistics and literary studies. In the latter, students choose two to four languages from a total of seven.

Practical

On the VUB campus in Etterbeek, various group information sessions lasting 1.5 hours take place between 9.00 and 17.00. The university also provides campus explorations and services such as housing, study guidance and study financing will answer visitors’ questions. In addition, the day offers students an excellent opportunity to take a look around the dorms. It’s also a chance to find extensive information on the courses and bridging programmes or to take a test in chemistry, physics or maths. You can also visit FabLab Brussels, the largest fab lab in the city, to see what future students in industrial sciences can expect. For the medical programmes, as well as rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy, students are welcomed at the campus in Jette. The next info day will be held on 24 April.
