Discover Brussels with Art Deco edition of Art Nouveau Pass

Brussels has been recognised as a true capital of Art Nouveau style but the Art Deco movement also holds a very important place in the city’s architectural heritage. As Belgian capital marks the 2025 Year of Art Deco, Brussels Museums offers a special edition of its popular Art Nouveau Pass, which allows everyone to discover Brussels’ Art Nouveau and Art Deco masterpieces in one easy and affordable package.

Thanks to the Art Nouveau Pass, visitors can uncover these unique styles all around Brussels and access many exceptional places with breathtaking interiors, as well as a series of dedicated exhibitions. For the Art Deco Year Edition 2025, the pass got a number of upgrades and new additions, including some of the city’s major Art Deco jewels such as Villa Empain and Van Buuren museum & gardens, as well as access to special new exhibitions dedicated to this style.

With its geometric lines and ornamentation, Art Deco was the artistic movement of the 1920s and 30s. A veritable star of the Roaring Twenties, its aesthetic flourished in furniture, the decorative arts and the building facades. In Brussels, it was the Palais des Beaux-Arts (1922-1929), designed by the great Victor Horta, that introduced the trend. Subsequent private mansions, bourgeois houses and apartment blocks were inspired by this unique aesthetic, making our city a European Art Deco hub.

The Art Nouveau pass offers an opportunity to meet the city from a unique perspective, in an affordable and user-friendly way. In a nutshell, pass holders get a key that opens the doors of three Art Nouveau and Art Deco sites of the choice over a 9-month period.

For those who are interested to delve deeper, the pass also includes discounts on guided tours led by passionate guides, as well as in selected shops and Art Nouveau brasseries where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glamorous cocktail in style.

This 9-month pass allows you to visit 3 Art Nouveau or Art Deco interiors and/​or exhibitions of your choice, and enjoy discounts on guided tours, Art Nouveau shops and brasseries.

Two options are available

• €25 = 3 museums or temporary exhibitions (without Hôtel Solvay) + discounts on guided tours, Art Nouveau brasseries and shops
• €35 = 2 museums or temporary exhibitions + Hôtel Solvay + discounts on guided tours, Art Nouveau brasseries and shops

Important thing to know about the pass:

The pass is valid for 9 months and active from the moment you buy your pass. It should be noted that it is not possible to visit the same museum more than once with the pass.

The pass can be either used digitally (stored on the smartphone) or print (at home or at the Brussels tourist office).

A paper brochure containing all the information about the pass, a presentation of the partners and the discount coupons will be offered upon buying the pass. The brochure can be picked up at one of the tourist offices or at participating Art Nouveau museums (excluding temporary exhibition venues).

You do not need to book your visit, except for 3 places: the Solvay House, the Cauchie House and the Horta Museum. If you wish to visit one of these three places, it is recommended to check that the available slots are suitable before buying your pass.

• Grand-Place (City Hall of Brussels): from Monday to Saturday: from 9am to 6pm – On 24/12 and 31/12 from 9am to 3pm – Closed on Sundays, on 1/1 and 25/12. A ramp is available on site on request.
• Mont des Arts (BIP, Rue Royale 2): daily: 9am to 5pm – On 21/7, 24/12 and 31/12 from 9.30am to 3pm – Closed on 1/1 and 25/12. PMR access: Rue Royale, 6.
• Hôtel Van Eetvelde: From Saturday until Monday: 10am to 5pm – Open on public holidays – Avenue Palmerston 2 1000 Bruxelles.
• Autrique House: From Wednesday until Sunday: 12am to 6pm – Closed on public holidays – Chaussée de Haecht 266, 1030 Schaerbeek.
• Maison Hannon : Thursday: 1pm to 6pm – Friday: 11am to 6pm – Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 6pm – Avenue de la Jonction 1, 1060 Saint-Gilles.
