The first edition of Bel’Oeuf: Exhibition of giant chocolate eggs in the heart of Brussels

The first edition of “Bel’Oeuf”, an exhibition featuring giant chocolate eggs takes place in the iconic Hotel Amigo in Brussels. The finest Belgian chocolate makers are participating in this exceptional exhibition with their distinctive choco creations.

As the Easter holidays are approaching, there is no better time to immerse into the world of chocolate eggs, bunnies and other festive creations. The new festival Bel’Oeuf has managed to assemble around 20 internationally renowned Belgian chocolate masters to present the giant chocolate eggs which were specially created for this occasion.

More than ten giant chocolate eggs are 50 – 60 cm high and can be viewed in the ambassador’s room at the Amigo hotel, right next to the Grand Place in Brussels. Some of the participating chocolate makers are: Marc Ducobu, Pierre Marcolini, Laurent Gerbaud, Jean-Philippe Darcis, Marijn Coertjens…

If you happen to be in the neighbourhood, don’t miss to discover these impressive creations. We really liked the egg which holds a rotating world map inside, as well as the one in the style of a wedding cake with a hundred roses. We can only imagine the effort and time needed to make some of these creations! Another giant egg captured our attention – an imperial egg covered with Swarovski crystals, a creation by Micheal Lewis-Anderson.

The expo lasts until 10th April 2023 and the access is free. To perfectly complement this lovely experience, the BoCConi restaurant at the hotel Amigo offers a dinner with the three-course menu, specially designed for the occasion. Find more details here.
