Using striking graphics and innovative features, the new brusselsmuseums.be website makes Brussels’ museums more accessible to a wider audience.
Brussels has more than 120 museums of all sizes and on wide variation of themes. This incredible diversity is what strikes you when you visit brusselsmuseums.be, which has become the reference site for Brussels’ museums for over 10 years.
The new interface launched this morning focuses on the accessibility of museums. Visitors can filter according to their interests, select free museums, see those adapted for children, or check with one click whether the museum has facilities for persons with disabilities.
A map makes it easy to find your way around the city and, thanks to the geolocalisation feature, visitors can always find which museums are the nearest to them.
If you are looking for a photo exhibition or an indoor activity for the weekend, you can also consult the agenda, which lists all the activities organised by the Brussels’ museums.
Readers of the articles will find advice on museum visits and seasonal tips, such as exhibitions not to be missed or Art Nouveau treasures in the capital.
The website brusselsmuseums.be is available in three languages (French, Dutch and English), and will definitely be an essential tool for tourists, Brussels residents and visitors from other parts of Belgium.
This portal site is one of the many projects of the Brussels Museums association, which brings the museums of Brussels together. Alongside Museum Night Fever, the Nocturnes, the Brussels Card and the Art Nouveau pass, the website fulfils the main objective of the organisation: bringing museums closer to us.
We applaud these efforts taken by the association, constantly innovating and making Brussels museums more accessible to the local and foreign public.
