Agenda: Art inspires change with Rob Hopkins

How can art (and specifically crypto art) inspire change? Can NFTs fund a new artistic renaissance? These are the questions which will be answered during the event “Art inspires change” with Rob Hopkins as a special guest. The event will be organised on 12th November in the Citizen Corner, a newly established common in Schaerbeek which is run by citizens for citizens.

In his last book “From What Is to What If: Unleashing the Power of Imagination to Create the Future We Want”, Rob Hopkins posits that the biggest crisis we are facing next to the climate emergency is a crisis of imagination.

We are unable to imagine a different world, a world that wouldn’t be driven by GDP and infinite growth. We say it’s impossible. We say it can’t be done, that it will destroy our economy. But what if?

During the event, Rob will share his findings and hopefully contribute to reignite the collective imagination of participants.

The remarks by Rob Hopkings will be followed by a presentation from the cryptoart.brussels community about NFTs as a new way to fund artists. They will also share an initiative to get local artists in Brussels to redraw our streets and sell their art piece as NFT on the crypto markets.
