Summer in Brussels: Parlamentarium and House of European History

Summer in Brussels is always a calm period. Going through the pandemic year means this summer will be a bit different and even more quiet. However, all of you that are staying in Brussels still have numerous things to discover and European district with its museums and EU institutions is something we definitely recommend. Parlamentarium and House of European History are two places that should not be missed and here are some reasons why!

• Both museums are located in the heart of the Brussels’ EU district – Parlamentarium is part of the large European Parliament building complex while the charming House of European History stands in the beautiful Parc Léopold.
  
• House of European History is imagined as a place to debate, question and reflect on Europe’s history. From myths and discoveries to the chaos and cohesion of the 20th century, the visitors are taken on a journey along the path of Europe’s history and challenged to contemplate its future.
  
• In the Parlamentarium, you can learn about the work of European Parliament & other EU institutions and discover the way Europe became what it is today. It is truly fascinating to discover how this largest trans-national democratic body works in practice!
