You could think this is a movie scene – a police drone flying above your head and warning you to respect the law? This “scenes from the future” are actually happening these days in our city. Brussels police has used drone in Parc Cinquantenaire, asking citizens to respect social distancing measures. The measures have been introduced in attempt to slow the spread of the Corona Virus.
Video from Parc du Cinquantenaire has appeared on Twitter today, posted by Raphael-Antonis Stylianou. He remarked that the scene looked like an episode of Black Mirror – a popular Netflix series which depicts life in the near future. The police in Brussels was flying a drone which emits warnings through speakers, asking citizens to respect social distancing measures.
