New Beer Museum: Brussels Bourse to host more than 100 beer brewers

A part of Brussels Bourse (the Stock Exchange building) will become a home to more than 100 brewers in a space that will be transformed into a Beer Museum. Beer aficionados will still have to wait a bit before the new museum opens, as the renovations need to take place and the plan is to open the building in 2023.

The Beer Museum will occupy the top floors of the building while the lower two floors and the large hall remain the public spaces for passage and events.

More than 100 brewers already confirmed that they will take part in the new museum premises so the project already aims to make a big impact in the beer world. Belgian beer is recognised as world heritage by UNESCO and this is one of the leading themes of the museum. This is why Belgian Beer World – a beer experience centre will be at the heart of this project, allowing visitors to discover why beer has such a special status in Belgium.

Bruzz reported that Sven Gats (Brussels Minister for the Image of Brussels) noted what makes this project interesting – “The beer itself is not the essence. We can say that we are the land of beer, so if you want to have the link between the tradition and diversity, you have to come to Belgium.”

The Brussels breweries – Beerstorming, Brussels Beer Project and Brasserie De La Senne all announced that they will also participate in this project.
