Following the success of the first edition of Brussels by Designers guide, visit.brussels, in partnership with four Brussels creators, published a second edition of the original guide for design, style and aesthetics aficionados.
Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the European Union but its importance in setting design trends increases continuously, mainly due to the growing number of talented creators. There are also many notable initiatives such as the Collectible fair, the Brussels Design Market, Brussels Design September, Uptown Design, the MAD Brussels Fashion & Design Platform, the ADAM Brussels Design Museum and prominent schools like La Cambre.
Written from the locals perspective, this guide aims to point to authentic places through the eyes of four creators. For this second edition, visit.brussels asked three furniture designers, Alain Gilles, Lucile Soufflet, Julien Renault, and stylist Conni Kaminski to share their favourites.
The guide is divided into five sections – restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and cultural venues but both tourists and locals will be happy to discover new places – from specialist bookshops and concept stores, to neighbourhood cafés.
The guide can be bought at Visit.Brussels info centers as well as in selected Brussels bookstores.
