Is Brussels fabulous? British newspaper The Observer published an article In defence of Brussels – “If you actuality know it, you probably love it”.
“Ignore the sceptics, this is a fabulous city, says a longtime fan – especially Ixelles, the vibrant multicultural quarter where Audrey Hepburn was born”.
That’s how the The Observer piece starts. The Guardian sister newspaper (re)discovers Brussels, in particular Ixelles: the lively Matongé, L’Ultime Atome café, Place Flagey, and the Musée d’Ixelles, where “you can stand in front of a Toulouse-Lautrec for as long as you like and be confident that nobody is about to barge you out of the way and then whack you in the face with a selfie-stick”.
