Brussels Summer Festival 2017: Mark your calendars!

Every summer Brussels turns into a big party town. Brussels Summer Festival is city’s landmark music event, happening between 6th and 15th August. Like every year, organizers worked hard to create an attractive line-up to live up to the expectations of fans – around 120.000 spectators are expected! For the 16th edition, more than 70 concerts and events will take over the royal district on the stages between the Royal Palace, the Mont des Arts, the Madeleine and the Place du musée.

What to expect?

From rock to hip-hop and jazz to world music, BSF offers something for everyone’s taste. Probably the biggest stars of this year’s event are Pet Shop Boys, but there are also Goldfrapp, Feist, Orbital, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Divine Comedy, Jain, Nouvelle Vague, Noa, Calypso Rose, Viktor Lazlo, Pierce Brothers and many others.

Belgian and Brussels artists are also well represented – Puggy, Black Box Revelation, Ozark Henry, Milow, GOOSE and André Brasseur are some of the local stars that will entertain the public on one of the summer stages. Many French bands will also play at this Brussels Summer Festival: La Femme, Rinôçérose, The Pirouettes…

For the full line-up, please consult the BSF calendar here.

Around 120.000 fans are expected to attend Brussels Summer Festival, making it one of the city’s most important summer events.

What makes this festival special are the diverse opportunities to experience the city. Apart from the concerts, BSF extras offer a chance to discover museums, expositions and other ‘must see’ things in Brussels. The festival has its own app, which you can download from the website and it offers all the relevant data – line up, personalized programme for the concerts, participation to competitions and other interesting info.

Festival also pays special attention to sustainability and we applaud the organizers for trying to keep the city as clean as possible before, during and after the festival.
