On Saturday June 13, Park Drie Fonteinen in Vilvoorde will host the very first edition of Maatwerk Festival – a unique gathering where music, nature and social impact come together for a meaningful cause.
Brussels-based non-profit organization Maatwerk vzw has been organizing events with a strong social purpose for several years already. Rather than focusing purely on entertainment, the organization connects every event to a local social initiative.
“We want to create experiences that bring people together while also making a real impact,” explains Benoît Vandendriessche from Maatwerk vzw. “Part of the profits from our events are donated to locally relevant charities and community projects.”
Over the past years, Maatwerk has already supported several initiatives. In 2024, the organization launched its very first Maatwerk Solidarity Day, bringing together 75 volunteers to support people living in street poverty in Brussels. Thanks to the support of partners and proceeds from previous events, the organization raised €3,000 to provide food and drinks for vulnerable people in the city.
Last year, Maatwerk also supported Petit Pierrot, a Brussels-based organization dedicated to children with severe multiple disabilities. Through their events, nearly €6,000 was raised to help support the organization’s activities and the development of a multifunctional center.
This year, Maatwerk continues its mission by collaborating with ’t Pasrel, a local organization in Vilvoorde that supports families and helps guide them toward future assistance and care.
The festival lineup features names such as Billy B2B Bisoux, DC Noises B2B Arter, Jokesonyou, Panteros666 and Unregular, promising a full day of electronic music, connection and atmosphere in the middle of nature.
Maatwerk Festival takes place on Saturday June 13 from 2 PM at Park Drie Fonteinen in Vilvoorde. All Early Mate tickets are already sold out, but tickets are still available through the website of Maatwerk Events starting from €41.
