Brussels Music Agenda: Concerts, festivals and music events in August

Summer is still in full swing in Brussels, and the city is brimming with energy. From open-air concerts and vibrant street festivals to outdoor cultural events, there’s no shortage of things to see and do, both in the heart of the city and beyond.

Electronic pioneers Kraftwerk are back with a brand-new show on 14 August in front of the Royal Palace and you can get your tickets here. 

Two massive names are coming to Belgium in August, Ed Sheeran and Drake. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will perform in Antwerp’s Middenvijver Linkeroever park on 07 and 08 August, with special guests Myles Smith and Tori Kelly and you can still get your tickets here. Same week, on 07 August and also in Antwerp, Canadian rapper Drake takes over Sportpaleis. There are limited tickets available here, but if you can’t make it to Antwerp, you can also catch him live in London, Paris, Cologne and other neighbour cities. 

Australian synth-pop duo Empire of the Sun are back after a long hiatus and will present their new album ‘Ask That God’ in Cirque Royal on 19 and 20 August and there are still tickets left. 

K-Pop fans are excited to receive ENHYPHEN on 30 August in ING Arena. The boyband will present the Walk The Line tour. Get the last tickets here.  

Every Wednesday in August and September, Jazz In The Woods offer free concerts at Le Kioske (Bois de la Cambre). During 2h you can enjoy live music while enjoying food and drinks. More info here.

ROOFTOPS

Arts at Night will offer for one night only 3 iconic venues with, 2 rooftops and 1 single ticket. On Thursday 21 August, three leading cultural venues on Brussels’ Mont des Arts invite you to a unique summer evening. Explore exhibitions at twilight, discover contemporary dance in unexpected spaces, and enjoy live music on the rooftops of the city. Get your ticket here.  

Bozar Rooftop is open until end of September between 16h and 23h with free entrance and a large range of musical guests playing from jazz and soul to pop, disco, electro, rock, Latino, and R&B – something for everyone throughout the summer. More info here. 

FESTIVALS

Brussels Open Air Festival will take over several locations in town. 5 iconic venues, ten collectives, and one full day to celebrate the diversity and creative energy of Brussels’ club culture. Tickets out now.

HANGAR invites SOLOMUN for a Royal Palace Open Air session on 15 August, after two sold-out editions at Cinquantenaire. Laurent Garnier, an iconic DJ and producer will also play for Hangar but in Knokke-Heist on 9 August. Find your tickets here.

For 11 days, from 14- 24 August, Brussels becomes the capital of dance. From classical ballet to krump, from contemporary to urban styles, the city pulses with movement, emotion, and creativity Brussels Dance Festival will offer free dance performances, concerts and workshops. Sablon Music Festival is back in the heart of the city with free rock, jazz, pop and vintage music concerts between 15 to 18 August. Find the programme here.

Color Bang, the free festival of colors and music is back to Parc du Cinquantenaire on 30 and 31 August with DJs and food trucks open to all ages. Check out for details here

If you are into classical music, the festival Midis Minimes is back all August long with performances in Cercle Royal Gaulois, Palais d’Egmont and Notre-Dame des Victoires au Sablon among other venues with very economic ticket prices. Check out the programme here

On 29 and 30 August Forest Sounds will enchant Brussels’s Forest Abbey with performances by Belgian artists Nena and La Chiva Gantiva among others. Tickets. 

Dutch speakers have a date with Boterhammen in het Park 2025, in Brussels Park, with free concerts between 25 and 29 August by De Toegift, Prins S. & De Geit, Madou, Guido Belcanto, Kaat Van Stralen, Emma Bale (singing in Dutch and English on 26 August), Sophie Straat, Simon, Maksim & LUNA (27 August). The festival area and the bar are open from 11h to 23h30. More info.

In the same location and dates, Feeërieën 2025, will offer free sets by genre-blending artists and djs from around the World. Check out the full programme here. 

The LGBTIQ+ community and allies have a date with Antwerp Pride, taking place between 6 and 9 August with a parade and lots of music performances by artists like Red Sebastian, Sylver or Alessio. More info here

It is a hot summer so far, and the Belgian coast has a lot to offer to electronic music fans, with several seaside festivals taking place this month. On 10 August there will be two simultaneous festivals called On The Beach , one in Knokke-Heist with Lost Frequencies (Tickets) and another in Zeebrugge with KI/KI & Marlon Hoffstadt (Tickets). On 15 to 17 August, Zeebrugge hosts WECANDANCE with sets by Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Peggy Gou, Roisin Murphy and many more (Tickets).
