From concept to creation: Meet the founders of Le Podcast Studio in Brussels

As we continue exploring the creative and entrepreneurial scene in our city, we sit down with the dynamic duo behind the popular podcast studio to uncover their inspiration, challenges, and vision for transforming the Brussels content creation landscape.

For a start, tell us more about your background?

We’re a team of passionate content creators with a strong focus on helping brands to tell their stories. Mergim is an experienced filmmaker with a talent for bringing out emotion in cinematic commercials, advertisements, and films, transforming each project into a visual masterpiece. Cem is a professional photographer who specializes in capturing compelling imagery for brands and businesses. Together, we’ve traveled the world, collaborating to deliver high-quality, impactful content.

How did you come up with the idea to start a studio?

We initially set up this space near the Grand Place as an office where we could meet clients and focus on our editing projects. But we soon noticed a growing demand for podcasting content from our clients. Setting up all the equipment at their locations was becoming a major challenge, given the need to transport microphones, cameras, tripods, lighting, and more.

One of our clients returned from Dubai and shared their experience recording in a professional podcast studio there, noting how easy and affordable it was. They paid around €100-150 per hour to rent a dedicated space, which was far more cost-effective than bringing in equipment and hiring a team for each session, a process that can easily cost thousands. This feedback sparked an idea—why not provide the same level of accessibility here in Brussels?

So, we transformed our office into a fully equipped podcast studio where creators can produce professional content at an affordable rate, only €130 per hour. Our clients now have a dedicated space, saving them time, money, and the stress of setup. All they need to do is show up and start creating.

Are there some specific features or aspects which make your studio different? Something that makes you stand out from the crowd?

It’s really a combination of factors that make our studio one of a kind.

First and foremost, we’re driven by a passion for storytelling and creativity. We’re both full-time professionals—Mergim as a filmmaker and me as a photographer—and Le Podcast Studio is a project we truly enjoy. It’s a place where we meet an incredible variety of creators, build meaningful connections, and often even make new friends. Sharing stories and inspiring each other brings a special energy to the space.

Our studio’s atmosphere is one of the most distinguishing factors. Every guest receives a warm welcome and positive energy from the moment they walk in. We’ve hosted everyone from entrepreneurs to politicians, and they all leave with a memorable experience. We make sure our clients feel comfortable and ready to dive into their conversations. It’s more than a recording space—it’s a place where people feel they belong and often don’t want to leave. This sense of community is something we’re proud of.

Lastly, our location sets us apart. Situated in the heart of Brussels, just steps from the Grand Place, we’re in a prime spot for creators. Guests can enjoy the iconic cityscape, have a drink at a nearby café, and then step right into their recording session. It’s an ideal location for clients who want to combine work with the vibrant energy of Brussels.

How do you feel about creating in the heart of city?

We couldn’t be happier. It’s perfectly positioned to be a new hub for creators, and in many ways, it already is. Being in the historic center of Brussels, with a view of the Grand Place, offers a charm that’s hard to match. Plus, with so many cultural and social hotspots nearby, our clients enjoy the convenience of a central location where they can blend work with leisure. Brussels truly is Europe’s creative heart, and we’re proud to be part of it.

How do you guide your guests through the production process?

Content creation can seem complex, but we guide every guest step-by-step. From the beginning, we help clients refine their approach—showing them how to engage their audience, edit their content for maximum impact, and speak confidently on camera. We’re here throughout the entire production process, customizing the studio setup to match each client’s unique vision. Our hands-on support makes the experience seamless and rewarding.

Any advice for people who are thinking about starting a podcast?

Just go for it. Whether you’re a brand, a public figure, or simply someone with a story to tell, podcasting is one of the most effective ways to grow an audience. It allows people to connect with you on a personal level, where they see your authentic side as the camera fades into the background. From a single podcast episode, you can create numerous short clips for social media, as well as a full-length version for YouTube, giving you multiple ways to reach your audience.

At Le Podcast Studio, all you need is an idea or a story—our team will take care of the rest. Trying podcasting even once can spark countless new ideas, and we’re here to help bring them to life.
