How to use your Brussels Card

If purchased online, use the QR code from your email. You can print it, download it to your smartphone, or save it on the Brussels Card app. If bought in person, use the email or paper voucher QR code.

Activate your card by scanning the QR code at any museum. It’s valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours from first use and must be activated within a year of purchase.

Public transport (STIB/MIVB)

If you chose the public transport option, you get 24, 48, or 72 hours of unlimited access to STIB buses, trams, and metros. Most lines run from 6am to midnight, with Noctis night buses until 3am on weekends, and line 12 to/from the airport.

It’s valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours from first use and can be activated separately from museum visits.

Hop-on Hop-off routes
If you chose the Hop-on Hop-off option, you can ride Tootbus electric buses unlimited for 24, 48, or 72 hours. Just have the driver scan your Brussels Card. Validity starts from the first scan and is independent of museum visits. Audio guides are available in multiple languages, with special guides for children in English, French, and Dutch. Atomium
If you chose the Atomium option, skip the line at the purchase desk and go directly to the entrance gates. Scan your Brussels Card QR code to enter. No reservation needed. Enjoy your visit!

Please note that : 

• The Brussels Card is non-refundable once purchased.
• Your Brussels Card becomes active upon first use at a museum and remains valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours from that moment. You have up to one year from the date of purchase to activate it.
• If you opt for the public transport option with your Brussels Card, you’ll need a separate ticket to use STIB transport. Refer to page 3 of the brochure for details.
• All museums, attractions, and activities included with the Brussels Card are accessible by STIB public transport, except for the Meise Botanic Garden, which requires De Lijn transport.
• Train journeys are not covered by the Brussels Card, including travel between Brussels Airport and the city center. However, if you choose the public transport option, you can use STIB bus line 12 between Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and the city center.

Discounts
To use, cut out and present the coupon, or show it on your mobile or Brussels Card app, along with your Brussels Card. Discounts are valid once and can be used until January 31, 2025, regardless of your Brussels Card’s expiration date.

MUSEUMS
With your Brussels Card, you can visit included museums as often as you like at the exception of BOZAR. Enjoy free access to all permanent collections and most temporary exhibitions. There are some exceptions: Museum of Fantastic Art, Belgian Museum of Freemasonry, Art & History Museum, Brel Foundation, Musical Instruments Museum, Royal Museums of Fine Arts, Royal Military Museum, Van Buuren Museum & Gardens, Halle Gate, Jewish Museum of Belgium, and Schaerbeek Beer Museum.

Please note: Most museums in Brussels are closed on Mondays. It’s recommended to check the museum’s website beforehand for their opening hours.
