The European Parliament has recently launched the Digital Journey to the European Parliament, a free online and immersive experience, available in the 24 official EU languages. The platform offers a chance to dive deeper into European democracy from any location in the world. All those interested to learn more can now discover the Parliament in 360°, meet its Members for a day and experience a time-travelled adventure through European history.

What to expect?

Thanks to this new experience, anyone can enjoy the full immersion to the European Parliament via their computer or in virtual reality with VR-glasses. Imagine strolling through the corridors of the Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg, entering the office of the President Roberta Metsola and exploring the collection of the House of European History at your own pace. All of this is now possible virtually thanks to this innovative platform, available 24/7 all around the world.

Visitors can take a virtual tour of the Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg and experience it in 360°, meet members of the European Parliament and better understand the work at the heart of European democracy.

There is also a special Be an MEP – Virtual Reality Experience, which offers a chance to jump into virtual reality and immerse yourself in the role of a Member of the European Parliament. It is very realistic – from exploring your own office to completing tasks relevant to your mandate and voting in a plenary session.

Groups can also enjoy a Virtual Role Play Game – take your seat in the European Parliament and vote on key EU legislation in this group game (min. 16 players).

Finally, thanks to the Virtual Tour of the House of European History, visitors can also explore Europe’s ancient roots and shared traditions up to the continent’s dramatic journey into modernity.
