After two years of absence, the return of famous New Year’s fireworks in Brussels is announced. Delphine Houba, alderman for culture, major events and tourism in the City of Brussels shared the good news on her social media:
“Brussels Mayor Philippe Close and I are pleased to announce the return of the famous New Year’s fireworks. This year, the Place des Palais will welcome Brusseleirs and tourists who wish to meet under a sparkling sky to celebrate together the transition to 2023.”

After two years of interruption due to the pandemic, the return of the popular New Year’s Eve has been announced last week. The fireworks will be launched from the Place des Palais on 31 December.
