Gaufres & Waffles – Summer Guests of Les Jeux d’Hiver!

After 10 weeks of quarantine, we are very happy to announce the grand opening of the Chalet Gaufres & Waffles in the heart of the Bois de la Cambre, on the terrace of Les Jeux d’Hiver.

This opening is of particular importance to us because for a long time we wondered how we would reinvent ourselves during these unique times. We wanted to find a place where locals could have a good time – alone or with family and friends…

We contacted the Jeux d’Hiver on the off-chance they may be interested… to our surprise, they were seduced by the Gaufres & Waffles concept and accepted to welcome us on their terrace for the summer. We couldn’t have wished for more!

This new location, our third after the Galeries du Roi and the Wolf Food Market, has been entirely designed and fitted out to welcome you in complete safety.

To start with, we will only be doing take-away but from June 8th (if possible), we will be able to open our terrace. The idea is that you can come and stroll through the Bois de la Cambre while enjoying one of our savoury waffles for lunch, or sweet waffles for a snack.

To celebrate the opening, chef Yves Mattagne has created 4 new recipes:

Savoury :
· Gaufre & Asparagus «à La Flamande»
· Gaufre & Stracciatella Tomatoes

Sweet :
· Waffle & Lemon Meringue
· Waffle & Strawberry Mascarpone

The Chalet Gaufres & Waffles will be open from Thursday 21 May, on every sunny day from
noon to 8 pm, opposite the Jeux d’Hiver, Chemin du Croquet 1, 1000 Brussels.
