Photo Story: Citizen Lights Festival in Schaerbeek

On February 7th and 8th, the Louis Bertrand and Colignon districts in Schaerbeek shined brightly during the 3rd edition of the Citizen Lights Festival (Festival of Lights). More than 17.000 people came and enjoyed a magical atmosphere during the Friday and Saturday, despite the weather.

Citizen Lights Festival is every year growing in popularity. It also makes people come from different communes in order to enjoy the spectacular atmosphere of the festival. Citizen Lights invites crowd to realise their dreams and enjoy through live performances, dance, interactive plastic works and performances.

For two evenings, the festival brought together the Schaerbeekois and visitors around a sharing of magical and convivial moments. A free event organized for and by the citizens, who have been participating for several months in its creation. During the 3rd edition, the circuit consisted of a dozen animations and works, produced by Schaerbeekois as well as by 11 Belgian and international artists around the theme “In search of our inaccessible stars”.
