Balkan Trafik Festival 2020 – New names & new venues for the 14th edition in Brussels!

Balkan Trafik! is returning to Brussels from 23 to 26 April 2020 for its 14th edition. The festival celebrates culture and heritage from the Balkans region and has established itself as the main cultural point for EU-Balkans cultural cooperation. Every year, thousands of people get a chance to discover Balkan culture, mainly through music, dance, theatre, movies, performances but also policy debates which aim to discuss important social and cultural topics from the region.

This year, one of the main stars that will come to Brussels is Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funeral Big Band. They will play at La Madeleine, while another star guest – Zdob și Zdub plays at VK in Molenbeek. Last year’s event at VK was completely sold out and successfully introduced the “Urban Chapter” – another dimension for Balkan Trafik, aiming to promote new music from the region, especially from hip-hop, rap and modern sound scene.

At the same time, the festival will introduce several new venues this year. Concerts in the VK and the traditional Giant Horo performances on the Grand Place, will be joined by amazing venues in the city centre – La Madeleine and Palace. We are looking forward to this year’s edition!
