A global travel site Big7travel made a ranking of top 50 cities in Europe for singles. Brussels got a very high position – 12th place, well better than many “fancier” cities like Copenhagen, Vienna, Moscow, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Prague, Lisbon, Budapest and others.
Stockholm won the title as the best city for singles in Europe, followed by Madrid, Oslo, London, Berlin, Geneva and Paris. If you wonder about the indicators that authors used to “calculate” the friendliest places for singles in Europe, the list was actually created by compiling data on singletons, dating apps, social life and the opinions of residents.
Website Big7travel noted that ranking criteria included stats such as highest usage rate of dating apps Tinder and/or Badoo, population percentage of single people per capita (Eurostat), overall population of city etc.
