New restaurant: Sentro, lounge & more

If you love exploring Brussels and discovering new places which offer quality food mixed with creativity and passion for seasonal, local and high-quality ingredients, then Sentro is definitely a place to try. We had a chance to test this restaurant, conveniently nestled in the Hilton Brussels Grand Place, just opposite of the Central Station.

The name “Sentro,” comes from combining the words “Centro” and “Senses,” since the restaurant wants to connect their exceptional location at the heart of Europe with the unique tastes and textures that come from expertly prepared seasonal and locally-sourced foods.

Head Chef Vincent Masson comes from Normandy and has spent his career in France and all over Europe, collecting the best from local traditions and techniques. We had the pleasure to speak with the chef and learn more about the driving force behind Sentro. In his own words: “It’s all about combining creativity and experience and personally selecting seasonal, local and best quality products. This is my chance to share culinary emotions from my different experiences in Europe”.

Sentro offers beautiful dining area with the views on Brussels’ city center but those who are interested in a more private setting can book a private dining area for their parties, celebrations and events. Although located in the Hilton hotel and the city centre, Sentro wants to become a place that is admired by locals and not only hotel guests or businessmen who come for the lovely business lunch offers. Sentro is a place for convivial experiences in the heart of Brussels.

Sentro partnered up with local artisans in order to do more than keep its footprint and character local. For instance, prominent Atelier Dierendonck’s artisanal butchers bring locally-raised meats to the plate of Sentro’s guests, using cutting-edge skills and traditional methods.

Apart from the classical restaurant experience Sentro also offers a sylish lounge option with its bar that offers a wide and expertly-chosen selection of wines, champagnes, and local beer favorites, along with cocktails ranging from the classics to new inventions by our Head Mixologist.

We loved Sentro and we hope you will enjoy it too!
