Two million visitors to the Parlamentarium in Brussels!

Parlamentarium – a visitor’s center of the European Parliament in Brussels has recently welcomed its 2 millionth visitor since its opening in 2011. Parlamentarium is a place where people come to experience European politics and learn about the daily work of the EU Parliament as well as the historical route which lead to the creation of the modern European Union.

Three lucky winners – Alex, Chris and Thomas from Austria had a chance to be greeted personally by European Parliament President Antonio Tajani. After meeting with the President, the visitors continued their guided tour and learned about the history and present work of European Parliament.

The Parlamentarium is very dynamic and interactive by design, available in any of the European Union’s 24 official languages, which really makes it unique and accessible to the people of all generations and backgrounds.  Currently, visitors can also discover a temporary exhibition – State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda area of the Parlamentarium which runs from the 25 January to the 18 November 2018.

Opened seven days a week (and free of charge entrance) Parlamentarium is definately positioned as a must-see for any traveller to Brussels. Located in the heart of the EU district, it takes around 90 minutes to visit the whole space but shorter tours are available for families and school groups. Anyone interested to learn about EU politics, decision making, past and present of European democracy should definitely visit this museum. More info on the official website…
