New bike lane: works between stations Luxemburg and Mouterij have started!

Good cycling news in Brussels! Works on bike path between stations Luxembourg and Mouterij have started. It is expected that the works will be completed in fall 2018. More information on the works and visual example of the final project can be found on Beliris website.

Brussels region is facing an urgent need to improve cycle paths and general safety of bike commuters. Road incidents are very frequent in the city as the recent example from Schaerbeek shows – a father and a daughter have been hit by a car while they were on a cycling path. As the region faces with more pressure to improve the conditions for cycling in the city, we hope that more new bike paths will be popping up soon!
