Did you see the beautiful fireworks last Friday? You wondered why – what was the occasion? 🙂
It turns out that this summer the City of Brussels organizes the LAEKEN FIREWORKS, a brand new event happening on selected Fridays during July and August. Many instagram users posted their photos from the first edition of this event and here are some beautiful shots which were shared with #welovebrussels community.
Fireworks will light up the sky for five nights on the Fridays of 14th and 28th July, as well as on 4th, 18th and 25th August 2017. Visit Brussels states that these five exceptional Fridays will pay hommage to the greatest treasure of our city – diversity and multiculturalism. The fireworks events will be held on the Heysel Plateau at the foot of the Palais 5.
The pyrotechnic show will be starting at 11 p.m. but already from 6 p.m a lot of family events will be available: food trucks, music, balls and other activities for children.
