Urban snaps: Brussels under a heatwave

In ‘Urban Snaps’ section we share photos and comments from our big community of locals, expats and tourists who all have something special to say about the city. Tommaso Spanevello is a public affairs professional from North-East of Italy (Venetian) but living in Brussels during last three and a half years. This is how he reacted on the current heatwave in the city while he was relaxing on one of Brussels’ rooftop terraces 🙂

Brussels under a heatwave is just absurd. It does not make any sense, does it.
Screwball illogical , nonsensical freaky.
It’s un poule avec les dents, it’s your grandma adding you on Snapchat; it’s Pepe Mujica in Ferrari; a bar in Belgium accepting credit cards; a gay pride in the streets of Teheran; a grammy award to Carla Bruni.
It’s also a rooftop’s fancy sunset meltdown, realizing that Life ain’t probably too bad after all, and I just want more.
I want more rooftops. I want more sunsets. I want more Mondays even. I want more heatwaves.
God bless Brussels’s heatwaves.
