Fietsen in Brussel is niet evident. Vele Brusselaars durven niet te fietsen en de ‘happy few’ worden eerder als avonturiers beschouwd dan als normale gebruikers van de openbare weg.
Brussel heeft een grote internationale gemeenschap, waaronder de ‘Brussels Bubble’ van de EU, en net van die mensen wilde ik te weten komen wat zij denken over fietsen in Brussel. Zijn ze verrast wanneer ze hier fietsen, voelen ze zich veilig?
Vooral via sociale media werd een survey uitgestuurd uit met vijf verschillende vragen over o.a veiligheid, de kwaliteit van fietspaden en het Villo! deelfietsensysteem. Meer dan 200 expats reageerden hier op en met hulp van grafisch vormgever Bert Sap werden de resultaten in een infographic gegoten…
