It’s a true story, Bill Gates published a video from Brussels showing his visit of the Sewer Museum and exploration of the underground water waste system in our city.
In a video published on his Instagram and YouTube channels, the co-founder of Microsoft explains the story behind this visit: I explored the hidden history of Brussels‘ sewage system—and the role of wastewater in global health—for this year’s #WorldToiletDay.
The video simply states: Why go 30 feet under Brussels? To learn how sewers shape our world, especially on #WorldToiletDay!
For those who still didn’t have a chance to visit, Brussels Sewer Museum is a city museum explaining the function and history of the sewer system. It also offers guided tours and a chance to experience an authentic sewer, stroll along the Senne and discover the little-known aspects of the profession of a sewage worker.
