How well do you know Flagey? Our illustrator Zsofi made this drawing about one of the most popular places in our city. The former “Maison de la Radio Flagey”, a building in the shape of a giant steamship, was re-opened in September 2002. The structure was built between 1935 and 1938 by an architect Joseph Diongre. It was named after Eugene Flagey, the mayor of Ixelles/Elsene. In 1988, the building got a new owner and it became “Maison de la Radio Flagey”.
Zsofi Lang (@zldrawings) is an illustrator based in Brussels. She likes to visualise complex ideas in simple ways, mostly in the form of hand-drawn infographics, maps, or live drawing at conferences. She loves architecture, history and little-known facts about Brussels, so if you have any, send them her way. You can learn more about her at her website.
